Sophia is a licensed birth-6th grade educator with a Masters Degree in Education and Culturally Responsive Teaching. She currently works as a 2nd grade teacher in Highlands Ranch where she differentiates instruction to meet the needs of diverse and unique learners. In this position, she also has extensive experience teaching a variety of curriculums and works with many differing student needs. Her approach to learning is to make activities and lessons relevant, meaningful and engaging. She seeks to build relationships with her students and help them develop skills that extend beyond the classroom. Her goal with students is to help them develop self confidence and grow their skills in a positive way.
In her free time, Sophia loves to explore all Colorado has to offer, especially outdoor activities like camping, hiking and paddleboarding. In addition to this, she loves to read, cook, and spend time with kids babysitting and tutoring. She is a huge dog lover and loves to explore dog friendly digs around Denver!
