Kelly, originally from Cleveland, Ohio, holds a degree in English from Franklin and Marshall College and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Northern Colorado. Kelly previously worked at Wilson Language Training before formally beginning her teaching career. Now in her 5th year of teaching, Kelly currently serves as the MTSS and Gifted Talented Coordinator at Vanguard Classical School, where she coaches teachers, runs intervention and extension groups, and employs her extensive background in the Wilson Method.
Kelly’s teaching philosophy centers on nurturing the complete student, fostering not only academic growth but also leadership skills, wellness, and a passion for external interests. She finds inspiration in witnessing the “aha” moments when students grasp a concept. Outside of her professional commitments, Kelly immerses herself in mountain activities, enjoying skiing, hiking, and paddleboarding. Her free time also includes experimenting with new recipes, reading on her patio with her dog, and cherishing moments with family and friends.
