Jamie, a Denver native, pursued her education at the University of New Mexico, where she not only earned her MBA in International Business but also competed in track and field. Her teaching journey commenced in Albuquerque, New Mexico, focusing on Special Education. Over 7 years, Jamie has worked with students across the Special Education spectrum, addressing needs from Autism to Gifted and Talented. Upon returning to Colorado, she continued her career in an elementary school and is currently contributing to a 6-12 school in Aurora.

Throughout her career, Jamie has specialized in Special Education and English Language Learners (ELL), providing valuable support in literacy and math intervention. Proficient in Spanish, she can engage in conversational dialogue. Jamie approaches teaching with patience and a holistic perspective, striving to connect lessons to students’ lives. Outside the classroom, she finds joy in exploring and traveling, staying active, indulging in a good book, or watching cooking shows.
