Pam has been teaching for 40 years and loves to see the look on a student’s face when the lightbulb goes on. After a career teaching English to refugees and immigrants, she went back to school to get her elementary teaching credential. Pam spent the next 15 years teaching 4th and 5th graders. Pam knows the value of creating an engaging, comfortable learning environment in which learners can take risks and feel successful. Her goal is to help each child become an independent, lifelong learner who can effectively struggle through new challenges and clearly express their thinking.
Pam holds a BA in Spanish Language and Literature, an MA in Applied Linguistics, and a Linguistically Diverse Endorsement on her teaching license. Pam enjoys tutoring all elementary subjects and appreciates the opportunity to work one-on-one with students to meet their specific needs.
In her free time, Pam is getting the hang of retirement. She enjoys exploring Colorado with her husband and their border collie, Tonks. In addition she spends time watching the Nuggets and the Summit, playing board games and traveling to new places. She is an avid reader, and has developed a serious Pilates habit.
