Leslie is an experienced and passionate educator with over 16 years of experience helpings elementary students grow and achieve success. Throughout his career Leslie grew as an educator, serving in multiple roles from classroom teacher, math lead, reading specialist, interventionist, and MTSS coordinator. As an MTSS Coordinator, Leslie used data to identify individual student needs and create plans for interventions and supports targeted to those needs. He relied on his strengths as a classroom teacher and interventionist to build strong relationships with students that were struggling academically and behaviorally and to motivate them to strive for their own success to help students see and reach for their potential.
Leslie has a bachelors degree in elementary education and masters degree in school leadership. He has collaborated with teachers, families, specialists, and other school leaders to create individualized plans for students needing extra support. Leslie understands the importance of collaborating with parents and teachers to learn about the whole child; their needs, strengths, and hobbies. It is through this wholistic approach that values the child and targets their needs that students can have reach their highest level of growth.
Beyond education, Leslie enjoys collecting and caring for houseplants, hiking, traveling, and all things Marvel and Disney. He reads fantasy novels, plays video games, and loves spending time with his wife, two kids, and their dog.
