Meet the Wash Park Tutors

Tricia Huth

When Tricia gave her first swim lesson at age 13 she became hooked on teaching. Tricia has worn many instructional hats since then including conflict management, mindfulness, reading, math and language arts. For the past twenty years she was an educational specialist for Denver Public Schools, focused primarily on middle school students with learning challenges. Tricia loves to see the light bulb go on and equips students with strategies to find the switch. She is excited to be a part of Wash Park Tutoring where she can give undivided attention to her students. Tricia holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a master’s degree (CU Boulder) in education with certifications in Special Education and Linguistically Diverse Education.

Tricia and her husband raised their three children in Denver. They’re glad to have them all back in town, especially now that grandchildren have joined the family. When she’s not playing with her grandchildren, Tricia enjoys everything outdoors – hiking, camping, x-country skiing, swimming, walking her dog. On the home front she enjoys gardening, reading, and visiting with friends. Tricia is excited to add tutoring to her favorite activities.
