Meet the Wash Park Tutors

Sara Lauerman

Sara, originally from Indianapolis, recently moved to Denver after teaching elementary school in both Indianapolis and Chicago. A graduate of Indiana University, she spent four years teaching in her hometown and another two years in Chicago, where she earned her M.Ed in Educational Leadership from Butler University and obtained a special education license from North Park University. Currently, Sara is a certified special education teacher at the elementary level, and is certified in the Orton Gillingham approach. She believes that every child can achieve greatness with the right tools and level of support to meet them at their level.

In her free time, Sara enjoys the outdoor wonders of Colorado, engaging in activities like hiking, running, camping, and exploring. Beyond local adventures, she satisfies her wanderlust by traveling globally, immersing herself in diverse cultures and experiences.
