Michelle is a kind and patient tutor with experience supporting students of various ages and learning styles. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education, giving her a unique blend of strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of how children learn best. She worked as an engineer in telecommunications for over 16 years and has been in education for over six years as a licensed teacher and teaching assistant. She is trained in Orton-Gillingham and has a strong knowledge of phonics and phonemic awareness.
Michelle specializes in breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps to increase students’ engagement and confidence. She possesses strong math, science, and literacy skills, enabling her to provide academic support to students with a wide range of abilities from kindergarten to high school. Michelle believes in setting high expectations for all students while providing support and differentiation to meet the needs of all ability levels. She has supported students with a wide variety of learning differences, including ADHD, ASD, and dyslexia. Her approach combines academic support with encouragement, and she strives to build confidence, encourage problem-solving, and foster a lifelong love of learning in all of her students.
