Her teaching journey spans four years in second grade, followed by three years in third grade, and, most recently, three years in Kindergarten. Graduating with a double major in Communications and Sociology from the University of California, San Diego, Kelly furthered her education with a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Denver. Recently named a Fulbright Scholar, Kelly is actively engaged in the Fulbright Teachers for the Global Classroom program, focusing on preparing students for a globalizing economy. With extensive experience in teaching all content areas—literacy, math, science, and social studies—Kelly brings a holistic approach to elementary education.

Known for her ability to motivate learners and infuse joy into their work, Kelly prioritizes understanding her students’ academic and social-emotional needs to provide comprehensive support. Leveraging her background in personalized learning, she adeptly identifies and addresses her students’ challenges, utilizing their strengths and interests to bolster skills and confidence. Beyond the classroom, Kelly finds joy in the company of her Husky mix, Ellie, indulging in coffee (with a pup cup!) and exploring Denver’s various parks. Kelly’s interests extend to reading books, knitting, and sharing laughter with friends.
