Julie White brings her expertise to Wash Park Tutoring, where she is dedicated to helping elementary and middle school students build confidence and excel in mathematics. Julie is certified in Mathematics Education (7-12) and Elementary Education (K-6). As a math interventionist, Julie specialized in working with small groups of students. Over her 5 years as an interventionist, she focused on middle school students before extending her support to 1st – 5th graders for an additional 3 years. Julie’s approach involves identifying gaps or misconceptions in her students’ understanding and then creating tailored small groups to re-teach skills using hands-on activities, models, and games. This personalized method not only addresses academic needs but also fosters strong connections, trust, and an enjoyable learning experience.
Julie holds a BBA in Marketing from Texas A&M University and a teaching certification with a math specialization from the University of Texas at El Paso. Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Special Education/Behavior Analysis at the University of Colorado, Denver, Julie embodies a joy for continuous learning.
