Jennifer Wilson

Jennifer brings over 25 years of teaching expertise, with the last two decades dedicated to a charter school in Jefferson County. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Middlebury College and is trained in Orton Gillingham phonics and word instruction. Her teaching journey began uniquely, as her initial experience involved teaching English in Costa Rica. This immersive experience ignited her passion for teaching, leading her to pursue certification through Stanley British Primary School. Throughout her career, Jennifer has taught various subjects in grades one to six, including reading, writing, math, Spanish, science, and robotics.

A lifelong learner with a profound enthusiasm for education, Jennifer is thrilled to expand her teaching experiences into the realm of tutoring. Her approach centers on crafting engaging and personalized lessons that foster confidence and guide students toward specific learning targets. She believes in leveraging a student’s strengths and interests to overcome learning challenges. Beyond teaching, Jennifer’s cherished moments involve spending time with her husband and five children, most of whom are now grown. A Colorado native, she never tires of immersing herself in the breathtaking mountains through activities like hiking, camping, and skiing. Jennifer is also an avid gardener, enjoys traveling, and finds solace in the world of books.
