Gina, originally from Illinois, has been a teacher for 10 years in Aurora Public Schools. Gina has a Masters Degree in Elementary Education and Educational Leadership. Gina is a licensed math teacher and has focused mostly on teaching 5th and 6th grade. She brings a wealth of knowledge of mathematics in the elementary grades supporting students below grade level. She has a proven track record of student growth in math. Gina also has taught writing and supported students with study and organizational skills. Gina’s teaching style is all about high engagement and meeting the students at their interest level. Gina believes in appealing to the student’s preferred learning style and adapting lessons to meet the student’s needs. She also believes the learning experience should be student centered. Gina is passionate about supporting the whole child- academically, socially, and emotionally.
Before beginning her career as a teacher, Gina worked with children in soccer camps, pre-school programs, and nannying. It was through these avenues of working with children that led Gina to becoming a teacher. Gina is married with one daughter and enjoys spending time with her family in the mountains, outdoors hiking, and paddle boarding.
