Emily is a 4th grade teacher based in Colorado with two years of classroom experience. She specializes in tailoring lessons to meet each student’s needs, building strong student–teacher relationships, and making learning both effective and enjoyable. Emily is patient, empathetic, and helps students develop confidence and academic skills through targeted strategies and positive encouragement.
Emily obtained her BS. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Northern Arizona University. Post college, Emily worked for the City of Denver’s Department of Safety working with at-risk youth. While this job was incredibly rewarding, Emily felt she could make a stronger impact advocating for youth in the classroom and being a positive role model on a daily basis. Emily has enjoyed this transition and values learning new curriculum and tips/tricks to support students the best she can. In her free time, Emily enjoys skiing, hiking, fostering dogs, and spending time with family.
