Amanda Bardes

Amanda, originally from Long Island, New York, has embraced Colorado for the past nine years. Currently serving as a 6th-grade writing teacher at a Blue Ribbon Accredited Middle School in Denver, she brings formal teaching experience from both middle and high school settings. Amanda is well-versed in tutoring students spanning from 4th to 12th grade in English Language Arts (ELA). Her teaching style is characterized by differentiation and a strong student-centered focus, emphasizing critical thinking, self-expression, and organizational skills. Encouraging creativity and infusing fun into the learning process, Amanda instills a growth mindset in her students.

A graduate of St. Joseph’s College in New York, Amanda holds a BA degree in Secondary Education and English from a teacher-accredited program. Currently working on writing and publishing a novel, she actively contributes to the world of literature. Beyond her roles as a teacher and writer, Amanda wears various hats, enjoying her pursuits as an avid reader, baker, gamer, hiker, and horror movie enthusiast. Her household is enriched by the presence of two cats and a beloved Golden Retriever.
