Alyssa has been teaching elementary school for 12 years and absolutely loves her job. She cares deeply about teaching students to LOVE learning, whatever that looks for them. Alyssa has two Masters Degrees in Education and Conflict Resolution. She served in the United States Peace Corps in Guyana, South America where she taught Literacy and Life Skills and found her soul mate dog on the streets of her village. Alyssa loves being outside and spending time with her dogs, exercising and reading. She is an aunt to two of her FAVORITE people ever, Oakley and Payton.

Alyssa has been a classroom teacher for 12 years and has held lots of teacher leader roles such as: Math Instructional Lead, Grade Level Chair and Culture Lead. She has also been selected PEAK Teacher two years in a row (a distinction for the highest performing teachers in the district). Alyssa is so excited to get to know your family!
