Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking licensed K-12 teachers who are experienced working with elementary, middle and high school students. We are looking for tutors who value building long-term relationships and inspiring students. Our clients stay with us for years. The hours are flexible, but the commitment is not. This is NOT a remote position. This is a well paid ($48-54/hour) part-time position consisting of 3-10 tutoring sessions per week. Tutors need to be available AT LEAST 2 evenings per week. This is a contract position so your availability will drive your compensation.
Specifically, we are hiring in the following areas:
- General Education Teachers
- Special Education Teachers
- K-10 Math Specialists
- Early Literacy Specialists
- Orton Gillingham Trained Teachers
Job Description
Tutors for Wash Park Tutoring are required to:
- Plan and implement effective lessons based on students’ needs
- Build positive relationships that support the student both academically and emotionally
- Communicate with students’ parents and teachers
- Tutor in students’ homes
- Perform basic administrative tasks
- Be flexible to tutor online if requested by a family
Job Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree and valid teaching credential
- Expertise in teaching and/or tutoring with knowledge of Colorado academic standards
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Regular access to reliable transportation for commuting to client homes
- A minimum of 2 evenings available per week for tutoring
- Availability to commit to the entire 2024/2025 school year or beyond
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Job Location and Hours
Wash Park Tutoring currently offers in-home tutoring in Denver and Cherry Hills. Clients are matched with tutors based on location and academic expertise. Most tutoring occurs Mon-Thurs between 3:30 and 7pm with minimal weekend tutoring.
