Emma Ransom

Emma, originally from Southern California, ventured to Massachusetts for college, earning a Bachelor’s in Neuroscience from Boston University while being a member of the Women’s Rowing team. As a middle school teacher with 8 years of experience her journey into teaching began with instructing 7th and 8th-grade math and science at a charter school in Malden, MA. Having experienced math struggles herself, Emma connected remarkably well with students facing similar challenges, growing to love the subject through teaching.

Transitioning to a science role, she expanded her expertise, teaching various subjects like biology, chemistry, physics, environmental science, ecology, and microbiology to middle schoolers. At her previous school, Emma not only excelled in science and math education, but also initiated a Mental Health Awareness Leadership Group and an Environmental Club. As a lifelong equestrian, Emma currently competes in dressage with her two horses. Recently, Emma and her husband relocated to Denver, bringing with them their two geriatric cats, Screamy and Lola, along with their two horses, Beau and Halle.
